TMAC Makes Callum’s Christmas Wishes Come True
The Mobility Aids Centre Ltd at Stanground received a special request from radio station Bob FM as part of their Christmas Wish Campaign 2014.
The radio station had received a Christmas Wish to help out a family who needed an easily folding wheelchair to help on their weekly hospital visits. Usually the family try to transport a heavy non-folding wheelchair, which has been really difficult. The family was secretly nominated by a friend and that’s where The Mobility Aids Centre Ltd sprang into action. Talking the request through with the radio station they established the right chair to suit Callum, and his Mum Terri’s needs, and agreed to provide a Convaid Clipper wheelchair.
The surprise was sprung on the family when the presenters visited the family to discuss their Christmas Wish unaware that the company was sat outside ready to deliver the chair and make the wish come true. Steve Perry from Mobility Aids Centre who delivered the Christmas Wish on behalf of the company said, “ This truly was a special occasion and we were happy to support the Christmas Wish Campaign. As you would expect Mum was overwhelmed and a few tears were shed but the Convaid Clipper will really make a big difference to the family”.
Callum was quick to try out his new chair and the family wrapped up ready for a test drive.
