Paralympic Ceremony With Professor Stephen Hawking
29th August 2012 marks the Opening Ceremony of the Paralympic Games in London. After the spectacle of Danny Boyle’s show opener for the Olympic Games in July, rumours currently point to special guest Professor Stephen Hawking playing a primary role as narrator in the evening’s showcase.
Titled ‘Enlightenment’, insiders suggest we’ll see Professor Hawking narrating a journey through history, highlighting scientific advances and discoveries in particular.
The team at The Mobility Aids Centre Ltd would personally like to wish Stephen, the performers and the contending athletes luck in the forthcoming fortnight of the Paralympic Games. We are fortunate to know Professor Hawking personally, as he’s been a valued customer and visitor at the mobility centre in Peterborough for over 25 years.
Be sure to check back here on the blog as the Games progress. A number of staff will be attending the shooting event on 9th September, after providing support to the athletes through the loan of specialist standing frame equipment. Collective fingers will be crossed on the day in support of Matt Skelhon, Di Coates and the rest of the team hoping for GOLD.
All that remains to be said is Go Paralympics GB!
